I graduated from UMD in 1983 with a degree in Elementary Education. I substitute taught for a wopping 3 months and decided to become a flight attendant instead. I flew for Northwest Airlines for 16 years. I got married to Dave who grew up in Burnsville (we met at college) in 1990. Had 3 awesome kids. In 2000 I decided to quit flying and become a stay at home Mom. This past Fall, I decided to try substitute teaching again. Now I sub for the Minnetonka School district. It's been a blast.....been teaching preschool thru High School. I really like to sub at the High School! Anyway, the past 30 years have been good to me for the most part. It by went fast! Update as of March 17,2011: working 3 different jobs now, started working for Clinique at several different stores as a skin consultant, still subbing at Minnetonka mostly and Forest Lake (just a couple times), and just started working as an accountant at on office in Chanhassen. Temporarily living in Eden Prairie and spend most weekends in Scandia staying with my Mom who needs some assistance.
So many memories.....trying not to crack up every time Mr. Redmond would blow a gasket and scream at the brass and percussion sections during band class. Sitting in the front row made that hard. Mr. Thoburns class was fun. He always made the shortest people point out the North Pole on the map...now that I think of it that was pretty mean. The time one of the mean P.E. teachers made our class do 4 count burpees in the mud. Homecoming week, football games, wrestling matches, dances, lunchtime, senior skip day at Square Lake, shooting the loop in FL, secret crushes, the time when those crazy boys jacked my Datsun up on a milk crate so they could see my wheels spinning and I was going nowhere......you know who you are. The time when Sandy, Chris , Donna and I were putting all the signs in the football players yards before the Homecoming game......took us almost all night. I'm sure I'll come up with more memories.....until then....cant wait to see everyone at the 30th!
